You wear a Canterbury singlet. If you are not selected to be one of the top 8, you run as a club runner and wear your DGRS singlet. T
he first three NZ Cross Country individuals, and the first three Teams (of best four home) from any centre, in each grade, are eligible for NZCC Championship Medals. To nominate yourself for the Canterbury team, fill out this form NZCC-Athlete-Nomination-Form.pdf and email it to
kprendergast@xtra.co.nz . Please do this ASAP.
Relay races
The relay races are in the evening starting with the kids at 6pm, adults from 6.35pm. These are club teams, not regional teams, so you represent DGRS only. 4 runners in each team run 2km each. Teams are in age groups and each team is made up of TWO MALES AND TWO FEMALES. If you want to run in a relay team, please email both Malcolm (
cornelius4us3@gmail.com) to enter AND Don (
donandmareegreig@outlook.com) as he will select teams. You must do this by
Saturday 18th July so Don can select and Malcolm can enter the teams.
The DGRS committee have also decided to pay the race entries for the relay teams for registered runners.
