The tradition of the Holloway Memorial, which originally used the Trentham racecourse, is revisited with the event now being held at the Motukarara Race Course. The race has over the years had a reputation as a “proper cross country” and the undulating 2km course on variable terrain at Motukarara will continue that tradition. Entries close Sunday 30 July at 6pm.

The Kennett Cup races are between 2 and 9 km with one steeple at end of the first lap, then two steeples per lap. These steeples are wider and more stable than sprint hurdles at 750mm high with two lower rails that small athletes can climb on. The rule is that you choose to either go over a steeple (taking the shortest line) or run around far end. Registrations close 6pm Sunday 9 July.
